Evaluation of panicle architecture traits in rice genotypes using PTRAP

An experiment was conducted with the objective of evaluating panicle architecture traits different genotypes rice in relation to yield during June November 2020. The randomized complete block design three replications and forty-two treatments. graphical user interface used image analysis tool Panicle Trait Phenotyping (PTRAP) record related traits. Among genotypes, highest found high yielding late variety Sampurna (6.1t/ha) number both primary (16.33) secondary branches (53.33). Four types size-irregular, conical, diamond like pyramid shaped were identified 42 genotypes. Correlation revealed significant (p=0.05) positive correlation grain i.e., (r=0.88), length (r=0.89), branches(r=0.69), nodes (r=84). between spikelet other variables higher than branch. increase rachis length, resulted increased per yield. It can be concluded architectural branches, most important improving crop yield.
